I am shopping for a refridgerator, in Montreal.?

Can anyone suggest a store that would back up their products when something goes wrong? I am trying to resolve an issue with a defective appliance with Sears, that has been taking more than 6 months and still no refund, so needless to say they will never get my business again. So any another suggestion would be helpful.
Unfortunately I had bought a Kenmore. So the manufacturer is the store for purposes of customer service

I think whirlpool makes kenmore – look at your owner’s manual.
